Country-Level Coordination in Albania

The series of international conferences in Monterrey, Rome, Paris and Accra have directly inspired donors to change behaviour and be more willing to coordinate their efforts. Donor coordination in Albania is currently going through a rapid transition phase from a donor-led approach to country-owned coordination. If this process continues Albania will be elevated from a best practice case in Europe to one of the globally-interesting models for aid effectiveness.

The documents below give an overview of the donor coordination history and donor coordination architecture in Albania and reflect the main challenges and issues that donor coordination is facing.
