The Government of Albania and the United Nations signed the One UN Programme on 24 October 2007. The objective of the Programme is to better support Albania in achieving its goals as expressed in the SAA with the EU, national priorities expressed in the NSDI and the IPS, and programmes of international partners. The One UN Programme aims at maximizing the UN’s impact in five main areas: more transparent and accountable governance; greater inclusive participation in public policy and decision-making; increased and more equitable access to quality basic services; regional development to reduce disparities; and environmentally sustainable development.

Albania is one of eight countries piloting UN reform at the country level.  To learn more about the One UN initiative, please check the documents below, or visit the UN Albania site.
